Trigonometric Equations
The goal is always to rewrite the equation as "single trig function" equals a number. To get to that point, we're going to rely on the same methods we've already developed for solving linear and quadratic (polynomial) equations.

We're going to start our discusion of solving trigonometric equations by looking at examples that use the same methods you would use for solving linear equations in one variable. (lecture slides)
Just like we can use linear methods for solving trigonometric equations, we can also use the methods that we use for solving quadratic equations including factoring and the Quadratic Equation. (lecture slides)
