The Chain Rule is the penultimate differentiation formula we're going to discuss. It's going to give us a tool we can use to find the derivative of the composition of two functions. With one exception (that's a couple of sections off), the remainder of our discussion in this chapter is going to be focused on finding the deriatives of specific functions like exponentials and logarithms.

Video Lectures

The next in our theoretical lectures covers the derivation of the Chain Rule - a formula for finding the derivative of the composition of two functions. If you're just looking for examples of how to apply the rule to find the derivatives of functions, skip ahead to the next lecture.
This is the last of our differentiation rules. We've still got a few more functions to learn how to differentiate but, once that's done, you'll be able to differentiate practically any function your every likely to actually encounter.
