Section 1.3 - Methods and Techniques

Our definition of a limit is great in the sense that it represents what we need it to represent. However, as you probably noticed in the last section, it's not the easiest thing to work with. In this section, we're going to develop some technqiues for actually finding specific limits of specific functions that are easier to work with.

Now we finally have the tools to start calculating limits much more efficiently. This (short) lecture works through a couple of specific examples that lead us to a very straightforward method for calculating the limit of a polynomial and the limit of a rational function. (lecture slides)
